About us
Future Think Research Centre (FTRC) is a non-profit organization based in Barcelona, Spain. Our mission is to support the personal and professional development of young people through learning, study, and research. We empower youth by providing meaningful opportunities for growth, entrepreneurship, and employability — enabling them to become active contributors to society and the economy.
FTRC conducts research and develops projects on topics such as the social and educational inclusion of youth, students, and adults in Europe; European values and perspectives on the future of Europe; cultural diversity; migration; 21st-century skills; and internationalization. We work to build academic and cultural bridges between Spain, other European countries, and regions across the Global South.
Our initiatives are aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals). Through these efforts, FTRC contributes to creating a more inclusive, skilled, and sustainable future for young people and communities.

Drawing on our experience and expertise, FTRC can make a valuable contribution in the following areas:
Research: Conducting high-quality qualitative research, study, and evaluation activities.
Development: Designing models of self-mobility focused on identity building, personal growth, and balanced development.
Conceptual Studies: Comparing different development models such as social responsibility, sustainability, social economy, gross national happiness, degrowth, and developmental alchemy.
Emerging Social Topics: Exploring relevant issues such as aging and gerotranscendence, digital addiction and identity, time management in the digital era, and the transformation of time and space in hybrid societies.
Project Engagement: Actively contributing to projects in the social sciences and humanities with reflective, responsible, and proactive participation.
